Times24.net: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 564 people in the capital during its regular anti-crime drives in the last 24 hours. A total of 58 cases were filed during the period. Of the arrested, 26 were detained by the Ramna Division, 40 by Lalbagh Division, 79 by Wari Division, 77 by Motijheel Division, 114 by Tejgaon Division, 153 by Mirpur Division, 36 by Gulshan Division, 35 by Uttara Division and four by the Detective Branch (DB).
During the drives, police recovered 2,194 yaba tablets, 3kg 715g of cannabis, 62g of heroin, six mobile phones, seven pairs of stolen shoes, 200.15g of gold ornaments and 1,000 pieces of coloured paper.
The arrests and recoveries were made during operations conducted in different police station areas across the capital.
Further legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway.
