“The prime minister’s visit was very important and successful. An agreement has been signed to purchase Boeing aircraft from the United States while protecting bilateral interests,” he told reporters at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday (September 27).
He said the government would take strict action against anyone committing wrongdoing using the name of the government or the party.
“Anyone who commits wrongdoing using the name of the government or the party will not be spared. The law will take its own course. The government will strictly suppress such activities,” he said.
Mahdi Amin said Tarique Rahman had strongly presented Bangladesh’s position at the United Nations.
“The prime minister strongly presented his views at the United Nations. World leaders warmly received the prime minister,” he said.

Members of the prime minister’s press wing said that during his five-day visit, Tarique Rahman highlighted Bangladesh’s interests and potential before the international community.
They said the prime minister also outlined his plans for people from all walks of life in his UN speech.
Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary K M Nazmul Haque was also present during the press briefing.
Tarique Rahman returned to Bangladesh today after attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. His wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman, and other members of the delegation accompanied him.
